Why This Exists

Timestamp is an independent artist interview and documentation project.

It exists to record long-form conversations with artists and cultural workers without optimizing for trends, algorithms, or institutional agendas. The goal is not speed or scale, it’s continuity, depth, and long memory.

This work takes time, labor, and resources to produce and maintain. Rather than relying on advertising, speculative grants, or brand sponsorships, Timestamp is supported directly by a small group of people who believe this archive should continue to exist.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Direct support helps cover:

  • Artist interviews and documentation
  • Editing, archiving, and preservation
  • Equipment, hosting, and production costs
  • The ability to remain independent and say no to misaligned funding

Support does not increase output.
It protects the conditions under which the work is made.

Who This Is For

Supporting Timestamp may be right for you if:

  • You value artist conversations that are slow, thoughtful, and unoptimized
  • You believe independent cultural archives should exist outside institutions
  • You want to support work without shaping or directing it
  • You prefer continuity over novelty

There is no obligation, urgency, or expectation.
